River birches are great trees for wet areas or around banks of bodies of water. The ‘Heritage’ river birch would be a great option for low wet areas of your yard. If you have bodies of water on you property these trees would be a great addition to the banks to help with erosion control as well. On top of being a great option for wet areas, the large canopy and interesting bark would make this an excellent accent tree for your yard. The bark peals and shows off tans, browns, and hues of pink all year long. This variety of birch is also tolerant of the Bronze Birch Borer.
