The ‘Forest Pansy’ Redbud is a beautiful cultivar of the Eastern Redbud. In spring the purple flowers sprout off of the bare branches and covers the tree. The leaves are a marron color that last all season until they turn a redish-marron color in the fall. The fruit of this tree are pods that are 2-3″ long and will last through the winter, adding some extra texture to the tree in the winter. These are great trees to add some extra color to your yard. They can be used as specimen trees, as a small stature tree for your landscape beds, or as a beautiful accent tree by your house or driveway.
